The swat team standoff in Alpharetta early Monday morning was only three doors down from my mother’s house. She and my step dad heard gunshots late Sunday night and called the fuzz, who said they had it under control. At 6 AM they had a knock on the door, it was the police saying to stay inside the house. They could see the cops all “taking cover” behind the cars- telling “Billy” to let the woman go, come out, that they would call his lawyer. After it was all said and done (around 8 AM or so) they rode up and down the street on the loud speaker saying it was safe to leave now. UNreal y’all. This is a pretty quiet and nice little suburban area (like a block from a Harry’s/Whole Foods- not exactly tha ‘hood) I just wish we knew more about what made that dude snap. Bizarre.
