Jeff’s horse Max died today.

This picture was taken just over a week ago, he had been sick so we went to visit him out at the pasture. He had just turned 27 on June 29.  Naturally Jeff is broken up about it. Send good thoughts his way today.

Jeff Says:

Hey Spazz. Thanks for posting this for me and Max. He was such a good boy. We played games, and he actually ran through the pasture playing chase with me… that’s an insane rush running alongside a horse! In the end, he was diagnosed with complete liver and kidney failure. There was nothing that could be done.

For anyone that might ever search the bloodline, his real name was Bolts Melody Man, he was a Tennessee Walking horse and the first 2-3 years of his life, he was a show horse. Once he was “put out to pasture” he was sold to a friend of the family who sold him to us. I thought “Max” was a much simpler, and fun, name.

I miss my big guy. I can’t describe losing someone so big and strong, or that I’ve known for 24 years. I’m still dumbfounded.

Mom Says:

What a beautiful horse. This is a great picture of Jeff & Max. I’m so sorry for Jeff’s loss.
