Mom came over again and we painted some more. Still not finished. This is going to take a long, long time.

Here is the progress of her RUG that she is knitting. (Who knits a rug? I wouldn’t be able to bear someone putting their feet on something that took this much time, but whatever floats your boat.) I think it looks like Uncle Sam’s lower intestine, but I’m assured it will be rug-shaped.

She then made me this salad, which was very appetizing even though there were no tomatoes.

I’m mad today. Mad is better than sad. Sad sucks.

Angry is working for me today.

Mom Says:

Just to clarify — there WERE tomatoes. A whole freakin’ bowl of beautiful, home-grown tomatoes from Sparky’s garden. SOMEONE moved the tomato intended for the salad from the counter to the bowl.

Spazzmanda Says:

Yeah, well the kitchen was chaos. I was “organizing” the tomatoes. What can I say, sometimes I’m not so smart.

Claudia Says:

MAD IS GOOD! I also like to be mad sometimes. It is definetely better than sad. It is even better when you have to call the phone company for the 4th time to change the name on the phone display and you can yell at someone and use the being mad to make a point… Hang in there - it’ll get better! I can’t wait to see the paint job! Your mom is awesome!

Jennifer Says:

Mad is definitely good. Mad is focused, deliberate, tired of wallowing and taking shit. Mad is knowing that you did nothing wrong and deserve to be treated right. Mad is liberating. Go outside and break something that needs to be busted. Oh and I love tomatoes too! :)

Amanda Says:

It was great seeing you today and I look forward to knitting with all of you next weekend.

Keep up the mad; it is cleansing!
