My computer arrived in the mail today, I’m going to fetch it after work.
Now, this is my very FIRST home computer.
Ever.
I know what you are thinking- How???!!! Whaaa???!!! (stunned silence.) Well, I managed to get through school using a roommate’s computer or the library or the computer lab, etc. As far as this blog, I write on several posts at a time for a few minutes here and there, on my lunch break, after work, so I’m not taking up any WORK time. I’ve gotten away with not having a home computer for so long because I just have. I go home and am truly ‘unplugged’ from the rest of the world.
I was the last person on the planet to get a cell phone too- back in 2000 or so I think it was. It didn’t bother me not having a phone strapped to my hip everywhere I went, I could just “go” and “be.” It drove everyone else in my universe absolutely batshit not being able to get in touch with me, but I didn’t mind so much, it was a simpler, more peaceful time. Alas, I succumbed. As I am now. The only difference is, I’m excited this time, I’m not being dragged kicking and screaming into the technological revolution.
Now, as I have no land line at home (tee hee- I know) I need an internet provider probably through my cable company. Preferably wireless since my new, slick computer is a laptop and all. It is a Dell something or other. I don’t know which one, ask Ole.
I’m going to knit it a felted case to carry it in, because, naturally, I’m already thinking of an outfit for my new computer.
